Heat Wave Arena follows the previous set’s theme by featuring tons of trainers from various generations and their respective Pokemon. No terastal Pokemon, just classics, trainers, and vibes. But how good are the pull rates?
What’s in Heat Wave Arena?
The most valuable card in Heat Wave Arena is Cynthia’s Garchomp ex 087/063. Cynthia’s always been a fan favorite Pokemon trainer so I’m not surprised but there are plenty of other great cards in this set that I consider chase cards.
Heat Wave Arena Pull Rates
In Japanese booster boxes, there are guaranteed pull rates. In this set, you’re guaranteed to pull at least the following from a single booster box.
- 1 Super Rare or better
- 3 Art Rares
- 4 Double Rares
Here is a chart based on these guaranteed numbers.
| Card Type | Ratio | Percent Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Double Rare | 1:5 (1 out of 5 packs) | 20% per pack |
| Art Rare | 1:6 | 15% |
| Super Rare | 1:60 | 1.7% |
| Special Art Rare | 1:60 | 1.7% |
| Ultra Rare | 1:60 | 1.7% |
Is Heat Wave Arena Worth It?
I’m bias towards this set because it has Lapras and Misty, my favorite Pokemon and one of my favorite characters in the series. Even though the pull rates are similar to previous sets, this set has been fun just to get my favorite chase cards and I’m excited to open more.
