Crimson Haze is a Japanese set centered around Bloodmoon Ursaluna, a new Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet. This set has a couple of really popular chase cards and even a Hisuian Pokemon, which I always love. But how good are the pull rates?
What’s in Crimson Haze?
The most valuable card in Crimson Haze is Greninja ex 090/066 which is a colorful Terastal version of Greninja with paint art style that reminds me of Splatoon. There’s also a shiny Geninja in this set if you’re lucky enough to pull it. This set features a lot of art with blazing colors of red and pink, which matches the set’s name perfectly.
Crimson Haze Pull Rates
In Japanese booster boxes, there are guaranteed pull rates. In this set, you’re guaranteed to pull at least the following from a single booster box.
- 1 Super Rare or better
- 3 Art Rares
- 1 ACE SPEC
- 4 Double Rares
Here is a chart based on these guaranteed numbers.
| Card Type | Ratio | Percent Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Double Rare | 1:8 (1 out of 8 packs) | 13% per pack |
| ACE SPEC | 1:30 | 3.3% |
| Art Rare | 1:10 | 10% |
| Super Rare | 1:90 | 1.1% |
| Special Art Rare | 1:90 | 1.1% |
| Ultra Rare | 1:90 | 1.1% |
Is Crimson Haze Worth It?
Just based on the Geninja and Eevee cards, I’ll be opening more of these packs to try my luck. The pull rates are about the same as other recent Japanese packs so if you’re feeling lucky, I would open some packs. A lot of collectors have skipped over sets like this in favor of special sets like Shiny Treasure ex, but I always like opening a variety of packs.
